Windows eight Chatter, the in-built movie talk and messaging application
The developers preview of Windows eight has just been released and all are very excited about it. Interestingly people have also commenced exploring and experimenting with it already – checking out the things that are built-in Microsoft Windows 8.
Not many people may have noticed that on the lock screen, a puny visible icon where a number was popping up and appearing besides that icon and after looking at it more cautiously people got to know that it’s the fresh in-built movie talk application which comes along with Windows 8. We have also learnt that the numbers besides that Icon are nothing but the number of missed calls which have been received via the movie talk application.
After digging deeper into this concept, developers have found out the code which could provide more clues about what this application would be meant for. The fresh app, Chatter would have the capability to make calls from various platforms including Skype, Google Talk and Windows Live, Lync, etc. While Skype integration is no big surprise for many after the acquisition of Skype by Microsoft a few months ago.
Now, if a real-time Movie Talk is going to come along with Microsoft Windows eight then the expectation of the users will also be on high note since Windows is the most preferred and used Operating System worldwide. People are also expecting to get a quality talk app like iOS’s FaceTime on Windows 8.
What would Windows eight Chatter have – that would make it challenge and compare favorably with FaceTime?
- Chatter would have option to include Skype, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger like services
- Would very likely have a common inbox for all voice mails and missed calls
- Would have decent movie quality and capability for making conference calls
- Would have Instant Messaging like Facebook Talk
This would also mean that now the user would just have to open up a single application from the desktop in order to get facilities of movie talk, instant messaging along with conference calls too.
