Bloated app.

WhatsApp has decent core talk capability but suffers from continued feature bloat and the inability to disable functionality that users don’t want. For example, it would be superb to disable WhatsApp calling entirely. It’s way too effortless to accidentally dial someone. I also don’t want people WhatsApp calling me when I’m not on wifi. Yes, I can just not take the call, but a smarter, more user-friendly feature would be preferred. The status tab was also a mistake that, as of yet, the developers turn down to unwind. Not a single contact of mine uses it. It’s not what talk apps are for. Better muting of notifications would also be good. If I mute a thread, I want nothing at all from it till the mute expires: no notifications, no badge icons, no unarchiving. Eventually, the periodic verification requests for two-step authentication are annoying and inconsistent with my expectations for how the feature should work and with the way I’ve seen any other app implement this. They’re so annoying, that they could encourage users to turn the feature off, which would be counter to the intent of the feature.

A few suggestions

– Can you please liquidate "Tap here for contact info" line that emerges below the contact name/number? It just delays the online status of the contact. Removing it will let us check online status of contacts quicker.

– Adding a symbol beside/on the profile picture of the contact to indicate they are presently online (like that green circle in Facebook Messenger) is undoubtedly worth adding.

– Instead of selecting a picture and then tapping "add" then select numerous pictures, why isn’t there a numerous picture mode in the very first place? A "select mode" available from the begin once I determine to share media would make the process much more convenient.

– Please add an option for "tap to record" voice notes instead of hold to record.

Love it but. update

1. I indeed wish it would notify you who if your contacts are online with an icon. I do understand you can see that if you click individually but a notification alert would be nice.

Two. Visual status movies are limited to thirty seconds. System should permit utter upload and automatically break so that movie can lay instead of it being manual. If you retain manual upload of a larger movie to the status, please put time count on the actual movie.

Three. Update so that messages over a designated time point either delete or auto archive (making this contact specific would be fine as well).

Four. Blocked contacts should be liquidated from the contact list and placed in a separate list.

Five. Frequent contacts should have their own list.

– Can you please liquidate "Tap here for contact info" line that emerges below the contact name/number? It just delays the online status of the contact. Removing it will let us check online status of contacts quicker.

– Adding a symbol beside/on the profile picture of the contact to indicate they are presently online (like that green circle in Facebook Messenger) is certainly worth adding.

Three. Update so that messages over a designated time point either delete or auto archive (making this contact specific would be excellent as well).

Four. Blocked contacts should be liquidated from the contact list and placed in a separate list.

Five. Frequent contacts should have their own list.

Bloated app.

WhatsApp has decent core talk capability but suffers from continued feature bloat and the inability to disable functionality that users don’t want. For example, it would be excellent to disable WhatsApp calling entirely. Ultimately, the periodic verification requests for two-step authentication are annoying and inconsistent with my expectations for how the feature should work and with the way I’ve seen any other app implement this. They’re so annoying, that they could encourage users to turn the feature off, which would be counter to the intent of the feature.

Bloated app.

WhatsApp has decent core talk capability but suffers from continued feature bloat and the inability to disable functionality that users don’t want. For example, it would be good to disable WhatsApp calling entirely.

– Can you please liquidate "Tap here for contact info" line that shows up below the contact name/number? It just delays the online status of the contact. Removing it will let us check online status of contacts swifter.

– Adding a symbol beside/on the profile picture of the contact to indicate they are presently online (like that green circle in Facebook Messenger) is certainly worth adding.

– Instead of selecting a picture and then tapping "add" then select numerous pictures, why isn’t there a numerous picture mode in the very first place? A "select mode" available from the commence once I determine to share media would make the process much more convenient.

Trio. Update so that messages over a designated time point either delete or auto archive (making this contact specific would be fine as well).

Four. Blocked contacts should be eliminated from the contact list and placed in a separate list.

Five. Frequent contacts should have their own list.
