Installation requirements

You’ll need iPhone four or later, with Apple iOS 7.0 or later, to install Lync two thousand thirteen for iPhone.

Install Lync app

Install the Lync two thousand thirteen app on your mobile phone with a duo of steps.

From your phone, go to the App Store, and search for Microsoft Lync two thousand thirteen for iPhone.

Tap the Free button in the app, and then tap Install and come in your App Store Apple ID and password. As soon as the app is installed, it shows up on your home screen.

Eliminate Lync app

To liquidate the Lync app from your phone, do this:

Touch and hold your finger on the Lync app icon.

Release your finger when the icon starts to wiggle on the screen.

Tap the X icon that shows up in the upper-left corner of the Lync icon. A prompt emerges on your screen, informing you that deleting “Lync” will also delete all its data. Tap Delete.

When the app vanishes, press the Home button.

Sign in to Lync for the very first time

If you don’t know this information, contact your technical support team. You cannot create a fresh Lync account from the Lync app on the iPhone.

The very first time you sign in to Lync on your iPhone, here’s what you’ll need to do:

Commence Lync by tapping the Lync app icon.

Now you’ll see a note explaining that in order to sign in, you need a Lync account and your IT administrator must turn on Lync for Mobile. To confirm that these are in place, tap OK.

Come in your sign-in address ([email protected]) and your password. (In some instances your user name will be provided in Advanced Options.)

On the Never Miss a Meeting screen, tap the field for your phone number and inject your phone number with country/region codes (this should prepopulate with your call forwarding or simultaneous ring settings that you have set on Lync for the desktop). When Lync cannot use the Wi-Fi or cellular data network to make an audio or movie call, Lync will call you back at this number to connect you to the audio portion of the Lync call. When you’ve finished injecting your number, tap the Next arrow icon.

The next screen displays two default settings on your phone:

Shove notifications Alerts you when you get a fresh IM or a VoIP call (on by default).

Help us improve Lync Sends Microsoft anonymous data from your device for Lync quality control (off by default).

To switch either setting, swipe the corresponding button either left or right.

Click the Next arrow icon to commence using Lync.

Sign in to Lync after the very first time
